Before You Spend More on Recruiting, Make Sure the Hiring Mission Is Clear
Military Hiring Strategy & Readiness Assessment is a fixed-scope employer engagement for organizations that want military-connected talent but need a practical plan before committing to a larger recruiting campaign or long-term talent program.
Military Loop looks at the hiring need from both sides: what the employer actually requires and how relevant military-developed experience may appear in civilian recruiting language, resumes, screening, and interviews.
This is not a job posting and it is not managed recruiting. It is the strategy and readiness work that helps an employer determine what should happen next.
What Is Included
- Pre-engagement employer intake and review to establish the workforce need, stakeholders, current process, and agreed priorities.
- Review of up to three priority positions or job families.
- Military-background and transferable-capability mapping for the agreed roles or job families.
- Job-language review to identify terminology, qualification, or experience requirements that may create unnecessary military-to-civilian translation barriers.
- Recruiting, onboarding, and retention-process review focused on screening, interviewing, handoffs, onboarding, early employee experience, and avoidable retention gaps relevant to the agreed scope.
- One private 90-minute employer strategy session with the appropriate employer stakeholders.
- Written Military Hiring Action Plan with prioritized recommendations and next actions.
Who This Is For
This assessment is designed for employers that know military-connected talent may fit their workforce but need to answer practical questions before spending more money on recruiting.
It is especially useful when an organization is beginning or rebuilding a veteran-hiring effort, has hard-to-fill positions, is unsure which military backgrounds may translate well to civilian roles, or suspects qualified candidates are being lost in job descriptions, screening, interviews, onboarding, or the early stages of employment.
The Military Loop Standard
Generic recruiting systems are built to recognize familiar titles, keywords, and conventional civilian career paths. Military experience does not always arrive in that format.
The Military Loop Standard is our working approach to military-to-civilian translation on both sides of the hire: understand the employer requirement, identify relevant military-developed capability, remove avoidable translation barriers, help create a clearer route into the employer’s hiring process, and strengthen the handoff into onboarding and retention.
This is a Military Loop service methodology. It is not a government, Department of Defense, military-branch, or third-party certification.
How It Works
- Establish the mission. The employer completes the required intake and provides the agreed job descriptions, role information, and recruiting context.
- Conduct the assessment. Military Loop reviews the priority roles and identifies relevant military capability, translation barriers, and hiring-process issues within scope.
- Hold the strategy session. Appropriate employer stakeholders meet privately with Military Loop for a 90-minute working session.
- Receive the action plan. Military Loop provides a written Military Hiring Action Plan with the recommended priorities and next actions.
- Choose the next move. The employer may execute internally or separately engage Military Loop for training, job campaigns, managed recruiting, or a broader military-talent partnership.
What This Assessment Does Not Include

- Access to private candidate information or unrestricted resume databases
- Applicant screening or hiring decisions on the employer’s behalf
- Employer-team training beyond the assessment and strategy session
- Paid advertising or third-party media spend
- Guaranteed applicants, interviews, offers, or hires
Vanguard Membership Is Separate
The Vanguard is Military Loop’s organizational membership and mission-partner program. An employer may hold Vanguard membership and separately purchase this assessment. Vanguard recognition and included Standard Job Campaign credits remain governed by the applicable Vanguard membership; this assessment does not duplicate or replace those benefits.
After the Assessment
The written action plan is intended to tell the employer what should happen next, not force a larger sale. Recommendations may include internal process changes, recruiter or hiring-manager training, job-campaign adjustments, onboarding or retention improvements, a managed recruiting engagement, or no additional Military Loop service when the employer can execute the plan internally.
We Take Care of Our Own
Military talent should not be overlooked because civilian systems fail to understand what someone has already learned, led, built, maintained, protected, or accomplished in uniform. Military Loop exists to help close that translation gap while keeping the employer’s actual workforce requirement at the center of the mission.
We Take Care of Our Own.
