MilitaryLoop Career Services

Your Military Experience Has Value.

Make sure civilian employers see it.

MilitaryLoop helps veterans, transitioning service members, Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses translate military experience into civilian career value, prepare for the civilian hiring process and put that preparation to work.

The Principle Behind MilitaryLoop

Mission Accomplishment. Troop Welfare.

Those principles do not disappear when the uniform comes off.

MilitaryLoop is building the career side of the network around both. Get the mission accomplished — while taking care of the people doing it.

Mission Accomplishment

Prepare. Translate. Connect.

Help military-connected people understand their civilian value, communicate it clearly, prepare for employers and connect with real opportunities.

Troop Welfare

Do Not Make Them Carry the Entire Load.

Professional career support costs money. The people doing professional work deserve to be paid. MilitaryLoop's job is to build a system strong enough to help keep that support within reach.

The Standard

Respect the Service. Respect the Work.

Your military service earned our respect. Your next career deserves the same level of seriousness.

MilitaryLoop works to lower barriers and keep professional career preparation within reach. That does not mean pretending professional education, coaching and expertise have no value.

Our coaches invest in you. The MilitaryLoop community invests in the mission. We ask you to invest in your own preparation.

How the Mission Helps Carry the Load

MilitaryLoop uses the strength of the broader network — including qualifying Patriot Supply purchases and future sponsor support — to help expand Free Resume Reviews, Mission Pricing, career education, technology, candidate assistance and employer outreach. The full Gear With a Mission program is explained later on this page.

How MilitaryLoop Career Education Works

Train to Standard — Not to Time.

Career transition is training. Different people enter that training with different experience, confidence, goals and levels of preparation.

Some candidates may accomplish their objective in one session. Others may benefit from additional coaching, practice or repetition. There is no required number of sessions unless a specific package says otherwise.

1. COMPLETE THE INTAKE

Tell us where you are, where you're trying to go and what problem you want the session to help solve.

2. BUILD THE INTELLIGENCE

Submit the requested resume, job description, questions and relevant records before the meeting.

3. COACH REVIEWS

Your coach reviews the reasonable requested pre-session materials included with your service.

4. MEET ONLINE

Live coaching is preferably conducted through Google Meet. Alternative video or phone arrangements may be made when appropriate.

5. WORK THE PROBLEM

Translate. Practice. Correct. Plan. Ask questions. Use the live session for the work that benefits most from a coach.

6. AFTER ACTION REVIEW

What improved? What still needs work? What should you practice? Are you ready to execute, or would more training help?

Make Your Paid Time Count

Your Preparation Determines How We Spend Your Time.

The more useful information your coach has before the session, the more live time can be spent solving the problem instead of reconstructing information you could have provided beforehand.

Come Prepared Complete the intake. Upload the requested documents. Send the job description if you have one. Write down the questions you need answered.
Then Use the Coach Spend the session translating experience, building strategy, practicing answers, correcting weaknesses and preparing for the next objective.
The more you build before the brief, the more ground we can cover during it. MilitaryLoop will tell you what information is useful. You are responsible for completing the preparation. That's part of the training.
What Does “60-Minute Session” Mean?

A 60-minute session means 60 scheduled minutes of live one-on-one coaching time.

Reasonable review of the requested materials you submit on time, when that preparation is included in the service, is handled outside the advertised live-session time.

Extensive document analysis, additional projects or work beyond the stated service scope may require another service or session. We'll tell you before additional work is purchased.

Your coach compares those records against what you tell us about your duties, leadership, equipment, training, responsibilities, accomplishments and civilian goals.

Do not email an unredacted DD214 and do not submit a DD214 through the Free Resume Review form. If records are needed, MilitaryLoop will provide the approved submission instructions.

Talent Focused. Job Ready.

MilitaryLoop Talent Ready Verified

The person should match the résumé.

Talent Ready Verified shows that a candidate has demonstrated career preparation and interview readiness: a clear direction, truthful materials, translated experience and the ability to stand behind what is written.

You Cannot Buy Readiness. You Build It. The coaching is purchased. The designation is earned. You must complete MilitaryLoop's designated career preparation pathway and demonstrate the published standard. Your coach evaluates your work throughout resume review, skills translation, career planning, and mock interviews. An individual service, purchase, or completed appointment does not automatically qualify you. Education carries a cost: the time and effort you invest in preparation, or the missed opportunity an avoidable mistake can create. Training gives you a chance to identify gaps, practice, and apply honest feedback before an employer interview. Our goal is to help you become talent focused and job ready, not simply tell you what you want to hear. Preparation does not guarantee a job.
The End State

Talent Focused. Job Ready.

The résumé is one piece. Talent Ready is about preparing the candidate.

1 KNOW YOUR VALUE

  • Meet the required standard for interview readiness.
  • Complete required corrections before reassessment.
  • Demonstrate professional communication and follow-through.
100-Point Coach Readiness Evaluation

How Readiness Is Scored

Your coach gathers evidence in each area throughout the preparation process. Like a real interview, what you demonstrate matters. Coach judgment is supported by the same published standard for every candidate.

15 Points — Career DirectionA defined role, field or civilian career target.
20 Points — Résumé Accuracy & AlignmentTruthful materials you understand and can support.
20 Points — Skills TranslationMilitary and civilian experience explained in employer language.
25 Points — Interview ReadinessClear, credible and professional communication during mock interviews and coaching conversations.
10 Points — Opportunity UnderstandingUnderstanding of the targeted role and its expectations.
10 Points — Communication & Follow-ThroughResponsive, prepared and ready for a serious next step.
80+
Passing Score: 80 Out of 100 A passing total alone is not enough if résumé credibility or interview readiness does not meet the required standard. You receive feedback, correct identified gaps and may reassess.
Your Path to the Crest

Keep the Network Current

Become Active in the Talent Ready Network

Earning the designation and being actively introduced to employers are related but separate statuses.

  • Keep your résumé and career direction current.
  • Consent to employer introductions.
  • Reconfirm availability every 90 days.
  • Confirm interest before an introduction is made.
  • Respond professionally when MilitaryLoop contacts you.
What You May Receive

Recognition That Carries a Standard

  • MilitaryLoop profile designation.
  • Eligibility for proactive employer introductions.
  • A designation valid for 12 months.
What Talent Ready Verified Does—and Does Not—Mean Talent Ready Verified confirms demonstrated career preparation and interview readiness. Career Services Questions

Questions Are Part of the Transition.

You do not need to understand every MilitaryLoop service before getting started. Find the question that sounds like where you are right now and we'll point you toward the next step.

Who can use MilitaryLoop Career Services?
MilitaryLoop Career Services is built for veterans, transitioning service members, National Guard and Reserve members, military spouses and other military-connected job seekers.

Whether you're getting ready to leave uniform, have been out for years, are changing careers, returning to work or simply trying to find something better, you can start here.

You don't need to know exactly what service you need. Start by giving us a little information about where you are and, if you have one, your current resume.

Start My Free Career Intake & Resume Review →
I don't know what civilian career fits my military experience. Can you help?
Yes. This is one of the biggest reasons MilitaryLoop Career Services exists. Your MOS, AFSC, rating, duty title or rank may describe where you served, but it does not necessarily tell a civilian employer everything you actually know how to do.

MilitaryLoop helps identify the leadership, technical ability, operations experience, training, accountability and accomplishments behind your military service and translate them into civilian career language.

If you only need some direction, start with the free intake. If you already know that translating your military experience is the problem, go directly into our skills-translation pathway.

Help Me Translate My Military Experience →   |   Start With My Resume →
Is the MilitaryLoop Free Resume Review really free?
Yes. The initial MilitaryLoop Resume Review costs you $0.

We want the first step to be easy. We'll look over what you already have and help identify basic areas where civilian employers may not be seeing the full value of your experience. That can include military terminology, buried accomplishments, unclear descriptions, basic organization and other rough edges that could affect the first impression your resume makes.

The free review is meant to be genuinely useful. It is not meant to make you feel like you have to buy something before we'll help you.

If we believe your resume could benefit from a deeper professional review, complete rewrite, skills translation or coaching, we'll explain those options. You decide what happens next.

Send Us My Resume for a Free Review →
What is the difference between the Free Resume Review and the Professional Resume Review?
The Free Resume Review is your starting point. It gives MilitaryLoop an opportunity to look at your resume, identify obvious rough edges and give you useful initial direction.

The Professional Resume Review goes deeper. A MilitaryLoop Career Coach looks at your resume from a professional career-development perspective, including how you are presenting your experience, what may be getting lost in translation, how your accomplishments are positioned and what changes could make you a stronger civilian candidate.

If you're unsure which one you need, don't guess. Start free. We can help you determine whether going deeper would actually benefit you.

Start With My Free Review →   |   Explore Professional Resume Services →
Can a real person work with me on my resume?
Yes. If you want more than the initial review, a MilitaryLoop Career Coach can take a deeper look at your resume and work from a professional point of view.

That means someone is looking at your experience, what you're trying to accomplish and where the resume may be underselling you. The goal is not simply to change words. The goal is to help you present your experience in a way civilian employers can understand and value.

Get Professional Resume Help →
What if my resume needs more than a few changes?
Sometimes editing an existing resume isn't enough. If your current resume was written primarily around military terminology, doesn't clearly show your accomplishments or is targeting a completely different civilian career, a professional rewrite may make more sense than continuing to patch the old version.

MilitaryLoop's professional resume services are designed to help rebuild your resume around the civilian career you're pursuing, including military-to-civilian translation, accomplishment positioning, career targeting and ATS-conscious organization.

Explore a Professional Resume Rewrite →
What if I don't have a resume at all?
That's okay. Do not wait until you have a finished resume to contact MilitaryLoop. Our Career Intake allows you to tell us that you don't currently have one. That actually helps us understand where you're starting.

If you need to build a civilian resume from the ground up, MilitaryLoop can help you identify your experience, translate your military background and determine what should be included.

Start My Career Intake →   |   Explore Resume-Building Help →
Can MilitaryLoop help me figure out what I should do next?
Yes. Sometimes the real problem isn't the resume. It's figuring out where you're going. MilitaryLoop Career Coaching is designed for people who need someone to work through career direction, transition strategy, job-search planning, professional positioning and the decisions in front of them.

You may know that you want something different without knowing what that something is yet. That's a legitimate place to start.

Talk With a MilitaryLoop Career Coach →
I'm getting interviews but not job offers. Can MilitaryLoop help with that?
Yes. If employers are already inviting you to interviews, the resume may be doing its job. The next issue may be how you're explaining your military experience, leadership, accomplishments and value during the interview itself.

Interview preparation through MilitaryLoop Career Coaching can help you work through those conversations before you're sitting across from the employer.

Get Help Preparing for My Interviews →
What is MilitaryLoop Talent Ready?
Talent Ready is being developed as the next step after simply having a profile or submitting job applications.

The idea is to help military-connected candidates bring different pieces of career preparation together — Career Intake, resume readiness, skills translation, interview readiness and other information that helps participating employers better understand the candidate.

Being Talent Ready is not a guarantee of employment. It is about being better prepared when the right opportunity appears.

Explore the Talent Ready Pathway →
Does MilitaryLoop actually have jobs I can search?
Yes. MilitaryLoop is building the employer side of the network at the same time we're building Career Services. That gives candidates a path from preparation into actual opportunity.

Our goal is not simply to help you make a better resume and then send you on your way. We want to connect prepared military-connected talent with employers that value the experience you bring.

Search MilitaryLoop Jobs →
Are MilitaryLoop Career Services available to military spouses?
Yes. Military spouses are part of the military-connected talent community MilitaryLoop is being built to serve. Frequent moves, employment gaps, licensing issues, changing labor markets and military-family responsibilities can all complicate a civilian career.

You do not need to have personally served in uniform to start a MilitaryLoop Career Intake.

Start My MilitaryLoop Career Intake →
Do I have to upload my DD-214 or prove my military service?
No. Do not upload your DD-214 through the Career Intake form. For the initial intake and resume review, MilitaryLoop only needs the career information requested in the form and your resume if you have one.

Do not submit your Social Security number, medical records, financial documents or other sensitive personal information either.

The Career Intake is designed to begin a career conversation — not collect unnecessary personal documents.

Go to the Secure Career Intake →
What if I need professional career help but can't afford it?
Start with the free services first. MilitaryLoop is also developing Sponsored Career Services for situations where additional professional help could make a real difference but cost becomes a barrier.

As funding and sponsorship resources grow, our goal is to help qualified military-connected candidates access additional career support when possible.

Explore Sponsored Career Services →   |   Start With the Free Review →
How is MilitaryLoop able to offer services like the Free Resume Review?
MilitaryLoop is being built as a sustainable mission-driven network, not as a system where every interaction with a veteran starts by asking for money.

One way we help fund that mission is through MilitaryLoop Patriot Supply. MilitaryLoop reinvests 5% of the profit from each qualifying Patriot Supply purchase back into the mission.

Profit means the money remaining after direct order expenses such as the cost of the product, shipping and payment-processing fees.

Those dollars help MilitaryLoop provide free resume reviews, develop career resources, support military-connected candidates and continue building connections between prepared candidates and employers.

So when someone buys a shirt, tumbler, hat or other qualifying item from MilitaryLoop Patriot Supply, part of the profit from that purchase goes back into the system we're building to help military-connected people move forward.

See How the Mission Funds the Mission →   |   Shop Gear With a Mission →
So when I buy something from MilitaryLoop, does it actually help another veteran or military family?
That's the purpose behind Gear With a Mission. MilitaryLoop commits 5% of the profit from each qualifying Patriot Supply purchase back into the MilitaryLoop mission after direct order expenses.

Instead of simply selling MilitaryLoop advertising on a shirt, we want to create gear people actually want to wear while building a revenue stream that helps support career resources, candidate assistance and the growth of the MilitaryLoop network.

Buy something you actually want to wear. Help someone else take their next step.

Shop MilitaryLoop Patriot Supply →
What if I don't need Career Services but still want to support the mission?
You can still be part of what MilitaryLoop is building. Supporting the mission can include shopping MilitaryLoop Patriot Supply, helping sponsor career services, sharing MilitaryLoop with veterans and military families, or connecting us with employers that want to hire military-connected talent.

You don't have to personally need the service to help someone who does.

Shop Gear With a Mission →   |   Help Sponsor Career Services →
Does MilitaryLoop guarantee that I'll get a job?
No. No legitimate career service can guarantee that a specific employer will interview or hire you.

What MilitaryLoop can do is help improve the things you can control: your resume, how your military experience is translated, how you present yourself, how prepared you are for interviews, how focused your job search is and how easily employers can understand the value you bring.

Then we can help connect that preparation with MilitaryLoop's growing network of jobs and employers.

Start With My Resume →   |   Search MilitaryLoop Jobs →
What if I still don't know what kind of help I need?
Then don't try to diagnose the problem yourself. That's exactly why we built the Career Intake.

Tell us where you are, what you're trying to accomplish, what seems to be getting in the way and upload your current resume if you have one. MilitaryLoop can use that information to help point you toward the most logical next step.

That might be a few resume corrections. It might be professional resume help. It might be skills translation. It might be career coaching. It might simply be time to start applying for the right jobs.

You don't need to know the answer before you ask for help.

MilitaryLoop prepares military-connected people for employers, prepares employers for military-connected talent, and connects the two.

Career services, employer partnerships, MilitaryLoop jobs, sponsorships and Patriot Supply all feed the same larger mission: creating more pathways from military experience to civilian opportunity.
