Hiring Military Talent Is Only the Beginning
Military Hiring & Retention Team Training helps employer teams understand military-connected talent from recruiting through onboarding, retention, and development.
Qualified veterans, transitioning service members, Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses can be missed when civilian hiring systems, recruiters, managers, or supervisors do not understand how military experience translates. Even after the hire, avoidable onboarding and leadership gaps can cost an employer good people.
This private training is designed to help your team recognize capability more accurately, communicate more effectively, and build a stronger military-connected employee experience.
What Is Included
- One 30-minute planning and alignment call with the employer before training.
- One 2-hour live virtual training session for up to 50 participants.
- Military culture and career structure — practical context for ranks, occupations, career progression, leadership responsibility, and service experience.
- Military-to-civilian capability translation — how to look beyond unfamiliar titles and recognize transferable skills, responsibility, leadership, technical capability, and operational experience.
- Military resume interpretation — common translation gaps and how strong candidates can be missed during screening.
- Recruiting and interviewing — practical ways to ask better questions and evaluate relevant experience without expecting candidates to already speak perfect civilian HR language.
- Guard, Reserve, and military-spouse realities — important workforce considerations that can affect recruiting, scheduling, mobility, and retention.
- Onboarding and early employee experience — helping military-connected hires understand expectations, culture, communication, and how success is measured.
- Retention and development — identifying preventable reasons military-connected employees disengage or leave, and improving supervision, recognition, career pathways, and advancement conversations.
- Organization-relevant examples tied to the hiring priorities identified during the planning call.
- Participant reference materials and post-session employer action recommendations.
Who This Is For
This training is designed for employers that want their people to become better at working with military-connected talent—not simply better at posting jobs.
Typical participants include HR teams, recruiters, talent-acquisition professionals, hiring managers, supervisors, operations leaders, workforce-development staff, and executives responsible for military hiring or retention initiatives.
The Military Loop Standard
The Military Loop Standard is our service methodology for understanding military-developed capability and translating it into the civilian workforce context.
The objective is not to lower the employer’s standard. It is to make sure qualified people are not overlooked because the employer and candidate are using different professional languages—and to make sure a good hire is not lost because the organization fails to understand how to onboard, lead, retain, and develop that talent.
This is a Military Loop service methodology. It is not a government, Department of Defense, military-branch, or third-party certification.
From Recruiting Through Retention
Military Loop treats the employer talent cycle as a connected mission:
Attract / Recruit → Recognize / Translate → Hire → Onboard → Retain → Develop
The strongest military hiring program is not measured only by how many veterans enter the organization. It also looks at whether those employees are positioned to succeed, contribute, advance, and stay.
How It Works
- Align the training. The employer identifies the audience, business context, and relevant hiring or retention priorities during the planning call.
- Deliver the live session. Military Loop conducts the private 2-hour virtual training for up to 50 participants.
- Apply the lessons. Participants receive reference materials and practical recommendations they can use in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, supervision, and retention.
- Choose the next move. The employer may implement internally or separately engage Military Loop for assessment, recruiting campaigns, or a broader military-talent partnership.
Standard Engagement vs. Custom Training
This product covers the standard private virtual engagement described above. Tailored curriculum, extended sessions, additional participant groups, onsite delivery, or organization-specific program development requires a separate scope and starts at $5,000 plus approved travel or onsite costs where applicable.
Scheduling, Rescheduling & Cancellation
One no-fee reschedule is available with at least 5 business days’ notice. Employer cancellation at least 10 business days before the scheduled training is eligible for a full refund. Inside 10 business days, the engagement is normally nonrefundable; when requested at least 5 business days before delivery, Military Loop may transfer the engagement once to another available date. If Military Loop must cancel, the employer may choose a rescheduled date or a full refund.
What This Training Does Not Include
- Ongoing candidate sourcing or managed recruiting labor
- Job Campaign inventory unless separately purchased or included under another written agreement
- Unlimited consulting or custom curriculum
- Access to private candidate information or unrestricted resume databases
